Jenkins Residence

Originally designed in the midcentury by a famed Nashville architect, the house had a strong architectural identity that became the starting point for its renovation.

The new work builds on the clarity of the original architecture while introducing a warmer, more layered interior. Soft plaster, warm woods, bluestone, and new millwork are set against the home’s original stone and expansive glass. Contemporary furniture is mixed with antiques, art, and objects collected by the owners, giving the rooms a character that feels personal and collected over time.

The renovation brings a new sensibility to the house while allowing the original architecture and the lives of its current owners to remain equally present.
