Our Team

Greg Dutton, Founder & Architect

Raised on a farm in the Ohio Valley, Greg’s early love of drawing and barns led to his life in architecture. After spending his twenties as a musician and moonlighting with design studios, Greg went on to co-found the award-winning practice, Midland Architecture. With Greg Dutton Studio, he continues his practice of creating space that are anchored in a sense of timelessness and warmth. Greg’s work has received multiple awards by the American Institute of Architects as well as been featured in various books and publications such as The New York Times, Dwell, House Beautiful, and GQ. Greg has also appeared on DIY Network’s Building off the Grid and HGTV’s Restored by the Fords.

Kyle Green

Kyle is a licensed architect who received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from The Knowlton School at The Ohio State University. He joined GDS in April 2023 after working the previous 11 years in Columbus and NYC on a variety of residential and commercial project types.  Kyle believes architecture should invigorate and inspire. No matter the project scale, this can be achieved through the delicate composition of light and material. Delicate in that the simplest path is often the most successful. Kyle explores this idea in his architecture as well as through his furniture design and woodworking hobbies.

Megan Dixon

Megan received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Masters of Architecture from The Ohio State University.  While attending Knowlton School of Architecture, under the direction of architectural critic Jeffrey Kipnis, she was among a team whose project Piranesi Variations was featured in an exhibition at the 2012 Venice Architecture Biennale.  Megan started her post graduate career in New York City, renovating Brooklyn brownstones and Manhattan apartments.  A Florida native, she returned to the midwest with her husband, joining the firm in 2021.  She is a licensed architect in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
