The Lazarus House carries a graceful sense of history, with its French Second Empire details—mansard roof, ornate brickwork, and gable dormers—standing as reminders of another era. Each element of the exterior feels timeless, a quiet tribute to its origins. The renovation worked to honor this legacy, quietly adding modern comforts without disturbing the home’s character – creating a home that respects the past while embracing contemporary living.
Inside, original features like the grand staircase and parquet floors were left untouched, holding onto the home’s spirit. New elements were added, like the kitchen and butler’s pantry, evolving the home to welcome new generations. We wanted these new spaces to feel intentional, bringing warmth and functionality without disturbing the home’s character. Where history and modernity could meet gently, creating a timeless space with deep roots.
